The `stand-by' jacket. Be prepared for any weather with the Recreational Jacket in the bottom of your pack or thrown in the car or boat. The Recreational Jacket is a tough, yet lightweight jacket that won't give you that clammy, sticky feeling that can happen with other lightweight jackets. Packs away conveniently into its own front pocket. An ideal garment to have handy, not only in your pack but in the car or boat.Waterproof MIN RATING: 10,000mm MAX RATING: 24,000mm (tested using the JIS L1092B standards)

Key Features

Shaped hood with drawcord around face
Velcro cuffs for sealing out the weather
One large zip front pocket that the jacket packs into
Weighs under 500gms

Notes on Washing: To extend the life of the garment and for best performance, close all zips including pocket zips. Use a small amount of non-scented LIQUID detergent and gentle wash at a temperature below 40º Celsius. DO NOT use powder detergents, fabric softener or chlorine bleach. Powder detergents include artificial scents, UV brighteners and abrasives that will reduce the life of the garment. Warm tumble dry, or line dry after washing.

Care after every use: Clean or wipe down any dirt, blood, or sweat. Ensure your rainwear layer is fully DRY before you store it away. Ensure that the environment where you store your garments is in a dry damp-free place. Ensure rainwear items are hanging up and not stored in a cram bag or screwed up in a heap.

Durable Water Repellency (DWR): If you notice that the water is not beading off the outer surface it’s time to replenish the DWR. Wash your garment through a standard wash cycle (use liquid detergent), then you can wash it again using an in-wash DWR replenisher (at 30°C) OR a spray on DWR replenisher. Dry the garment at a LOW temperature in a tumble dryer or air dry.

Nice and light with good fit. Will trail on next tramp.

This is an excellent part of clothing that everyone should have in their kit. The light weight and compact design makes it easy to carry about the planet were ever you are traveling to then when the need is required it can be slipped on to keep dry. Thanks Stoney Creek. Chrrs Sel

Recreational Jacket - This is a great product tidy and works well for purpose and the service was great.

Does the job. Bit expensive for what it is but stows away in the glove box nicely.

Been using Stoney Creek gear for years. Anything Stoney Creek is AWESOME!

I purchased one of these for around home and in the truck. I loved it so much I purchased the stow it jacket in camo for hunting.
