CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Notes on Washing: To extend the life of the garment and for best performance, use a small amount of non-scented LIQUID detergent. DO NOT use powder detergents, fabric softener or chlorine bleach. Powder detergents include artificial scents, UV brighteners and abrasives that will reduce the life of the garment.

Care after every use: Clean or wipe down any dirt, blood, sweat. Ensure your rainwear layer is fully DRY before you store it away. Ensure that the environment where you store your garments is in a dry damp-free place. Ensure rainwear items are hanging up and not stored in a cram bag or screwed up in a heap.

Durable Water Repellency (DWR): If you notice that the water is not beading off the outer surface it’s time to replenish the DWR. Wash your jacket through a standard wash cycle (use liquid detergent), then you can wash it again using an in-wash DWR replenisher (at 30°C) OR a spray on DWR replenisher. Dry the garment at a LOW temperature in a tumble dryer or air dry.

American dude born in Montana, lived in Norway, spent a year on the South Island, living in south east Alaska. I love rain country and this gear helps to keep my kids in love with it as well. I go out of my way to buy kiwi gear ‘cause they love good design and live in the ideal testing grounds. I am slowly expanding my personal collection of Stoney Creek, as well as outfitting my kids and recommending there gear to friends. This isn’t rubber duck gear meant for boat decks. It’s designed to wander old growth rainforest without weighing your kids down. When the accumulated rain is double digits you’ll never stay fireside dry but this product line finds the balance. Plus the unconventional camo is way cool.

Purchased this jacket as a fly fishing jacket for my 12 year old. It is super light weight and is easily stowed in a back pack and weighs very little. This jacket is super tough and it has survived lots of bush bashing and scrambling through riverbeds and undergrowth including blackberries. It still looks mint! Most importantly it has been put through it's paces in some torrential downpours and it has kept him exceptionally dry and warm - it is really waterproof! It's lasted long enough to be handed down to little brother and we are upgrading to a bigger size.

Purchased the Stow It Jacket for my 12 year old and he absolutely loves it. He mainly uses it for fly fishing but also hunting. Jacket has been brilliant at keeping him dry and warm even in the worst downpours on windy winter days. Pocket on front is super handy as well. Not overcomplicated and delivers what it promises - warm and dry.
