The Black stag 800 was an upgrade from my Black Stag 600 which has served me well (and still does) over 9 years. As I look to do more fly camping throughout the colder months the 800 adds to comfort on the hill. The bag feels nice and wide at the shoulders and fits a standard kiwi bloke well.
The middle zip is a nice feature however the zip itself comes down too easily. I’ve found it needs to be buttoned up at the top to avoid the zip slipping down and this can lead to overheating.
